Through the mountains

Adventures for all ages, hobbies, and fitness levels.

With a great diversity of landscapes, climates, environments and histories, the Sierra Nevada are a paradise for nature activities.

There are plenty of activities to be done on its peaks, slopes, and valleys: high-mountain sports, scientific hikes, mountaineering, or horseback trips. Explore the different activities offered by our environmental education centres, stay in rural houses or in charming hotels that provide activities such as crafting workshops, star observation, organic farming, and product tasting.

Our winter proposal is to combine fun snow activities like snowshoe hikes, winter trips or skiing with ecotourism trips around the warm climate areas of the lower Alpujarra, where even in winter the temperatures may reach the 20º-Celsius.

Spring and autumn are the best moments of the year to do one-day hiking trips or long-distance trips on both sides of the Sierra Nevada. Walk along medieval trails and stop to rest in the picturesque villages of the Sierra.

At the beginning of the summer the snows starts melting and it generates new landscapes: waterfalls, meadows full of flowers and high-mountain lakes. It is the moment to ascend and enjoy these landscapes accompanied by expert guides who will reveal to us the secrets of the melting water while taking care of our safety.

When the snow disappears during the high Andalusian summer, the Sierra Nevada keep a spring climate that allows visitors to take hiking trips and routes. One of the most widely-known routes is the legendary 3000’s trek, a four or five-day adventure that traverses 25 peaks of more than three thousand metres of the Sierra Nevada.
