The two main highways that lead to the Park from Granada are the A-92 motorway (Seville – Almería passing by Granada), which crosses the northern edge of the area of influence linking the cities of Granada and Almeria, allowing access to the municipalities of Guadix – Marquesado and Río Nacimiento districts, and the national road N – 323 (Bailén – Motril), which crosses the western end of the Park in Granada – Motril, crossing the Valle de Lecrín and allowing access to the region of La Alpujarra.

From Almeria, also the A – 92 also connects the northern side and, for the southern side, the access is through Berja along the Autovía del Mediterráneo, at the height of El Ejido, and also the Andarax valley road; these are the main routes.

Starting out from these roads, a set of roads branch off and make it possible to penetrate to the immediate area of the National Park.
