Have a look at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecoturismosierranevada.com\/en\/business\/\">list of businesses<\/a> for nature activities.<\/li>\n<li>During spring and summer, electric storms are frequent in the mountains. Avoid the combs or excellent prominences exposed to the beams, as well as the riverbeds of rivers and creeks in case of storm.<\/li>\n<li>Plan the activity you\u2019re going to do.<\/li>\n<li>Check the weather forecast before you leave.<\/li>\n<li>Analyse the itinerary\u2019s conditions. Study them, and bring a map.<\/li>\n<li>Ask if there are mountain shelters, guarded or unguarded, in the area you\u2019re visiting.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare your equipment. Make sure it is appropriate for the activity or hike you\u2019re doing.<\/li>\n<li>Sudden changes in temperature are common in the Sierra Nevada, especially in autumn and spring. Always bring warm clothes, food, water, a light, a mobile phone, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid travelling alone.<\/li>\n<li>Leave a note or a message (friends, hotel, mountain shelter\u2026) with your itinerary and the time\/day you\u2019re planning to come back.<\/li>\n<li>En las zonas de alta monta\u00f1a son frecuentes las tormentas el\u00e9ctricas, elude visitarlas con previsi\u00f3n de mal tiempo.<\/li>\n<li>Be careful in the autumn and winter with frozen high-altitude meadows. Avoid snowy hills.<\/li>\n<li>The wind might be dangerous in the winter. Avoid going out if strong winds are in the forecast or change your return itinerary if they catch you near the summits.
