The Quaryat Dillar olive oil mill (the name meant Village of Dílar, in ancient Andalusian), is a family business in the Sierra Nevada Natural Park in Granada (Andalusia) which aims for excellence and sustainable development in a tradition dating back thousands of years from its own state and olive oil . It works in harmony with its surroundings and favours the biodiversity which makes the Sierra Nevada Natural Area so famous.
A visit to this family estate of 250 acres of olives, almonds and cereal crops, a little treasure just 15 minutes from Granada, is a “Journey to the Essence”. Here at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, with some unique views, we can sample the olive oils which are given to us by this land. In them, we find the fragrances of tomato, thyme and rosemary from the mountains, green apple, banana….helping us to understand the concept of Ecotourism, because these oils are created in a sustainable manner, offsetting the CO2 footprint of the activity. We are part of Sierra Nevada’s network of tourist information points and operate under the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas. We are one of a selected few establishments accredited as preferred tourist information pint and eco-tour provider.
